Great Explorations

Great Explorations is a program run by BHK and will be open to students in grade K-5. The program seeks to meet the needs and families through the development of a broad program of academics, youth development/enrichment, prevention/wellness recreation and family activities. The three main goals of the program are: Increase student academic achievement through tutoring/homework help and activities that promote an interest in learning. Encourage the healthy development of children with wellness and recreation opportunities. Strengthen families by providing opportunities for parents to learn with their children and through the offering of family-empowering resources.

Tutoring will be offered everyday from 3:40-5:30 p.m. and enrichment activities will be offered once a week for six week sessions. Students will be able to choose which which enrichment program(s) they are interested in from a wide array of choices. Students do not need to participate everyday in the program but must participate to some extent, in all aspects of the 3 program goals.
